Job Description

Machine Operator – Thread Grinding (Oil-Based Machines)

$20–$22/hr to Start | Temp-to-Hire

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator with experience working on oil-based machines, specifically grinding threads. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Schedule

Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Typically 1 hour of overtime (starting 1 hour early)
Occasional Saturdays as needed

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate oil-based thread grinding machines
Grind threads to precise specifications and tolerances
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments
Use measuring tools to verify part dimensions
Maintain quality standards throughout production runs
Perform minor machine maintenance and report mechanical issues
Keep work area clean and organized

Required Skills & Experience

Previous Machine Operator experience in a manufacturing environment
Grinding experience preferred
Comfortable working with oil-based machinery
Strong mechanical aptitude
Solid math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements) a must
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
