Oil Service Technician

The Oil & Gas Burner Technician is primarily responsible for the following functions:

• Installs oil burners and tanks for new and existing customers.• Performs service calls and preventative maintenance on existing systems.• Performs annual cleanings on systems.• Primes systems following a "no heat" call.• Responds to emergency calls as needed.• Completes system inspections and repairs.• Provides mentorship and guidance to Apprentices and Helpers.• Performs other similar duties as required.

Required:• High school degree or equivalent• Current Oil Burner Service Technician license• Valid driver's license• Ability to work extended hours as necessary, especially during peak demand seasonsPreferred:• Prior experience with oil tank installations• Experience with Blue Cow or Ignite• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Field:• Regularly works outside in varying weather conditions• Often subject to extreme variations of temperature or odors• Often exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals• Regularly exposed to moderate to loud noise levels

Office:• Moderately noisy office, subject to frequent interruptions• Not subject to extreme variations of temperature or odors• Broco Energy is a family-friendly workplace. Well-behaved dogs are regularly in the office and children are frequently present. There is a shy, nocturnal cat on the second floor.

• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS• Frequently required to stand, walk, and operate tools and heavy equipment.• Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch.• Frequently lifts to 85 pounds independently, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.• Must be able to accurately see colors and smell.
