On-Call Child Care Sitter

Jovie of Boise is hiring reliable, professional On-Call Child Care Sitters to provide safe, high-quality in-home care for local families.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care for children of all ages

• Supervise play, assist with meals, routines, and age-appropriate activities

• Communicate professionally with families and Jovie staff

• Complete caregiver reports and submit timesheets promptly

• Follow all safety policies and procedures

Schedule & Availability

• On-call, variable hours based on availability

• Preferred availability: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., Monday–Friday

• Additional availability for after-school hours, evenings, and weekends is required

• Assignments may be same-day or scheduled in advance

• Hours are not guaranteed

Pay

• $14.50/hour starting pay

• Overtime paid per Idaho and federal law

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year child care experience

• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain within 60 days

• Must own a reliable vehicle and have a valid driver’s license

• Smartphone with reliable cellular/Wi-Fi access

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with children

Screening & Requirements

• Employment contingent on successful background check

• Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required

• Local travel to client homes required

Technology Requirement

• Must monitor scheduling app between 6:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m.

• App monitoring time is not compensable
