Position Overview
The Apartment Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the property while maintaining positive tenant relationships and ensuring the property runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Tenant Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants
- Address tenant questions, concerns, and maintenance requests professionally and promptly
- Conduct tours of available units for prospective tenants
- Coordinate lease signings, renewals, move-ins, and move-outs
- Maintain positive resident relations and community standards
Financial Management
- Collect rent payments and maintain accurate payment records
- Monitor delinquent accounts and follow company procedures regarding late payments
- Maintain organized property and tenant documentation
Leasing & Marketing
- Advertise vacancies and assist with tenant retention efforts
- Utilize online platforms and social media to market available units
- Conduct open houses and promote property amenities
- Stay informed on local rental market trends and competitor pricing
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records related to leases, maintenance requests, and financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with property policies and landlord-tenant regulations
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel and vendors as needed
Qualifications
- Previous property management, leasing, or related experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Experience with property management software is a plus
- Knowledge of landlord-tenant laws and leasing practices preferred
- Reliable, professional, and able to live on-site full-time
