Ardent is seeking an On-Site Technician to join our team.  

This is an onsite position, in Baton Rouge, LA.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking an Onsite Technician to provide desktop and field support services at federal research and clinical facilities. This role focuses on delivering hands-on technical support, maintaining system functionality, and ensuring continuous onsite coverage for enterprise users. The technician will support Windows-based environments, Microsoft 365 services, and endpoint management platforms while coordinating directly with leadership and stakeholders. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, experience supporting distributed environments, and the ability to operate independently in a mission-driven setting.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide continuous onsite desktop support at designated federal facilities.
  • Support Windows 10/11 environments, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 applications and services.
  • Manage and resolve incidents and service requests through ServiceNow.
  • Perform hardware and software troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Support mobile device management (MDM) platforms and endpoint configurations.
  • Coordinate directly with leadership and stakeholders to ensure service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Maintain system availability and user productivity across supported environments.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and support activities in accordance with established processes.
  • Provide support for standalone and remote site environments as required.

Requirements: 

  • Public Trust required.
  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in desktop support or field technician roles.
  • Experience supporting remote or standalone federal site environments.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 operating systems.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications and services.
  • Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
  • Experience with mobile device management (MDM) platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite environment.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • CompTIA A+ certification.
  • Experience supporting federal or government environments.
  • Experience supporting research or clinical environments.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
