Oncological Psychiatrist

Position Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside, oncologists, nurses and social workers to treat cancer patients undergoing treatment.
- Manage psychiatric symptoms caused by cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy-induced mood changes, delirium or cognitive effects.
- Help cancer patients process and manage stress, anxiety, and depression and improve coping strategies.
- Help ensure cancer patients are emotionally prepared and mentally resilient, which can improve treatment outcomes.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Board Certification in Psychiatry
- Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry preferred
- Experience with cancer patients preferred
- Ability to be licensed in the State of Florida
