Overview

Moog is seeking a highly experienced operational leader to improve and stabilize its production of electronic product lines within Moog's Space & Defense business in Gilbert, AZ. The ideal candidate will deliver best-in-class operational experience for space-qualified high-reliability electronics systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a Management Operating System (MOS) responsible for the end-to-end value chain execution by working with functional teams of engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, test and quality. Note that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for functional performance will be managed within the teams and are not part of this role. The primary responsibility of this role is the overall on-time delivery (OTD) of the products and the related documentation.
  • Stabilize the MOS with strict process controls producing reliable and predictable results validated by independent audits.
  • MOS that establishes operating performance bands and escalation when out-of-band.
  • Continuous improvement activities that drive to 100% on-time-delivery with 100% quality.
  • Continuous improvement activities that drive out the 7 forms of waste with a focus on reducing inventory.
  • Increase operational agility to adapt to changing customer needs, supply chain and other business challenges.
  • Establish standard leader work and accountability rhythms.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years in aerospace manufacturing or complex regulated production
  • Proven success improving processes
  • Strong Lean / Operational Excellence background
  • Experience in AS9100 environments
  • Ability to influence senior leaders across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, test and quality

Demonstrated expertise in:

  • Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
  • Master Production Schedule (MPS)
  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Plan for Every Part (PFEP)
  • Supplier Performance Management
  • Warehouse and Material Management
  • AS9100 Process Control with Visual Controls
  • Tiered Daily Management, Andon Process

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Understanding the business financial impacts

Salary Range Transparency:

Phoenix, AZ $185,000.00-$202,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
