Position Summary
The Operational Finance Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the financial health of the organization by conducting analyses, providing insights, and contributing to operational efficiency. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial analyses to support decision-making, such as cost-benefit analysis, variance analysis, and scenario modeling.
- Provide insights into key financial metrics and trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for operational improvement and cost optimization.
- Recommend and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency.
- Assist in the development, monitoring, and analysis of budgets.
- Track budget versus actual performance and provide explanations for variances.
- Support the creation of accurate and timely financial forecasts.
- Work with stakeholders to gather relevant data for forecasting purposes.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc financial reports for internal use.
- Ensure reports comply with accounting standards and present information in a clear and actionable format.
- Maintain and analyze financial data from various sources.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity, identifying and rectifying discrepancies.
- Work closely with departments such as operations, procurement, and sales to understand their financial needs and challenges.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making within various teams.
- Analyze costs associated with products, services, or projects.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Assist in the establishment and maintenance of internal financial controls.
- Communicate complex financial information in a clear and understandable manner.
