Title: VP Operational Risk Management, Investment Management DivisionOffice Status: Hybrid New York, NYBase Salary: $160k $185k + BonusABOUT THE ROLE This Vice President opportunity sits within the Operational Risk Management function of a leading global financial services firm, offering second-line oversight of the Investment Management Division across the US with contribution to a global coverage team. The role combines independent risk and control assessment with senior governance reporting, special project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration making it an ideal fit for a seasoned operational risk professional with 5+ years of asset management exposure who is equally comfortable providing technical expertise, challenging the first line, and presenting risk findings to senior leadership and governance forums. Candidates with 1LOD, 2LOD, or 3LOD experience covering risk and control issues in asset management will be well positioned.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively contribute to the global Operational Risk Management function and broader Risk Management department to develop and maintain best-in-class technical, business, and administrative practices
- Provide global operational risk coverage of assigned businesses within the Investment Management Division;deliver technical expertise and drive consistency in the application of risk and control assessment methodologies
- Provide senior leadership and governance forums with appropriate information regarding operational risk exposures, control effectiveness, and remedial actions
- Provide independent oversight over operational risks and credible challenge to the first line of defense;monitor risk appetite compliance across assigned business lines
- Lead special projects and initiatives at the regional and global level as directed by senior ORM leadership
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of operational risk frameworks and policies relevant to the Investment Management Division
