Operations Clerk
Company: Brown Foodservice, Inc.Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PMPay: $12–$13 per hour
Overview
Join a team that has been delivering quality food service since 1942. As an Operations Clerk, you’ll play a key role in supporting transportation and warehouse operations through reporting, coordination, and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily reports and filing, including:
- Morning Trans Report
- DVIR Report
- Backhaul Report
- POD Usage Report
- Track and post warehouse and transportation KPIs on communication boards
- Provide daily Hours of Service (HOS) snapshots to Transportation Management
- Audit Cintas billing and review findings with management
- Verify time and attendance records (punch validation only)
- Submit payroll exception emails
- Prepare weekly driver incentive reports
- Verify credited items scanned via Target and communicate updates
- Maintain and update driver and warehouse communication boards, including safety scoreboards
- Organize Ryder bills for weekly management approval
- Order diesel, DEF, and supplies (Uline & Grainger) as needed
- Assist with Dispatch Track pre-work
- Answer incoming calls in the transportation office
- Perform general Samsara system maintenance
- Monitor fleet vehicles and coordinate maintenance scheduling
- Support inbound scheduling (future responsibility)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse, tablet, scanner)
- Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and calmly in a fast-paced environment
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Training & Knowledge
- GDP training, including:
- Personnel practices
- Storage and sanitation
- Receiving and distribution
- HACCP standards
