Director of Operations

Location: Lake Orion, Michigan (In-Person)Salary: $85,000–$95,000 annually

Position Overview

The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing and improving the organization’s day-to-day operations. This role ensures that internal processes, systems, and teams are operating efficiently and consistently, while supporting leadership in executing strategic initiatives and driving operational excellence.

This is a full-time, in-person leadership role based in Lake Orion, Michigan.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operational activities across departments to ensure efficiency and consistency
Develop, document, and improve operational processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Manage cross-functional teams and support department leaders in execution and accountability
Track operational performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
Partner with executive leadership to implement strategic initiatives
Identify operational risks and resolve issues proactively
Support resource planning, staffing coordination, and workflow management
Ensure operational compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations
Drive continuous improvement and scalability as the organization grows

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
7–10 years of operations, project management, or leadership experience
Proven ability to manage people, processes, and priorities simultaneously
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Experience building or improving operational systems and workflows
Comfortable working in a hands-on, in-person leadership role
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
