Job Description

POSITION SUMMARYThe Director – Operations Finance is a strategic finance leader responsible for partnering with Operations and Business Process Optimization leadership to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and enterprise-wide value creation.

Reporting to the VP of Business Process Optimization, this role plays a critical part in aligning operational strategy, process transformation, and financial outcomes. This position oversees a Senior Finance Project Manager and a Financial Analyst and serves as a key advisor to Operations, Supply Chain, Plant Leadership, and Executive Leadership.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA and/or CPA preferred).

  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience in manufacturing or operations finance.

  • Demonstrated experience leading financial support for process transformation or ERP initiatives.

  • Proven leadership experience managing finance teams.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing finance, standard costing, and operational KPIs.

  • Advanced financial modeling and scenario planning.

  • ERP experience (Oracle Fusion strongly preferred).

  • Experience building dashboards and operational performance reporting tools.

Leadership Competencies

  • Systems thinker who understands how process, operations, and finance interconnect.

  • Strategic, data-driven decision-maker.

  • Executive presence and ability to influence cross-functional leaders.

  • Comfortable leading through ambiguity and change.

  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic & Transformation Finance Leadership

  • Partner closely with the VP of Business Process Optimization to align financial strategy with operational transformation initiatives.

  • Translate process optimization efforts into measurable financial outcomes.

  • Lead financial modeling and business cases for enterprise-wide operational improvements.

  • Support long-range financial planning tied to productivity and margin expansion initiatives.

Operational Performance & Cost Management

  • Oversee plant-level financial performance.

  • Drive standard costing, variance analysis, and cost containment initiatives.

  • Develop KPIs and dashboards that connect operational metrics to financial performance.

  • Partner with Operations leaders to improve working capital, inventory management, and throughput.

  • Ensure financial rigor and internal controls within operational accounting processes. Ensure the timly closure of outstanding actions items, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvment.

Capital Planning & Investment Governance

  • Lead financial evaluation of capital expenditures and operational investments.

  • Build ROI, NPV, and scenario-based models to inform decision-making.

  • Establish post-investment tracking processes to ensure expected financial returns are realized.

Project & ERP Optimization Oversight

  • Provide strategic oversight to the Senior Finance Project Manager for cross-functional initiatives (ERP optimization, cost transformation, reporting automation, process redesign).

  • Champion data integrity and reporting standardization across systems.

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial analytics and operational reporting capabilities.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports while forsting an inclusive environment that encourages coloaborations of team members from diverse backgrounds.

  • Build a high-performance culture centered on accountability, analytical excellence, and process discipline.

  • Establish scalable finance processes that support organizational growth.

  • Other duties consistent with the general nature and focus of the position and/or the goals and objectives of the department may be assigned.

Based on region, the expected salary range(s) for this position is $140,629.95 - $234,383.24.
