The Security Operations Manager leads all operational aspects of security, providing strategic oversight and direction to the Security Site Supervisors and broader security team. This role ensures operational excellence across all security platforms, equipment deployment, compliance initiatives, and contingency planning while serving as the critical link between strategic security goals and day-to-day tactical execution.  

Reporting to the Assistant Account Manager, this position is vital for maintaining "Brilliant at the Basics" performance standards throughout the security operation. The Security Operations Manager must demonstrate exceptional emotional intelligence to effectively manage team morale, address personnel concerns, and maintain strong collaborative relationships with Protective Services Median and Events (PSME) Security Operations (SecOps). This leader is responsible for ensuring the entire security team remains prepared to respond confidently and effectively to both routine operations and emergency situations. Additional strategic initiatives may be assigned based on evolving security requirements and organizational priorities. 

CORE OBJECTIVES

  • Standardize global practices by unifying operational standards, incident categorization, and ensure consistent performance across the studio. 
  •  Drive training excellence by collaborating with the Training Department to deliver innovative, bar-raising content.
  •  Ensure 100% accountability for all personnel regarding job duties, post orders, SOPs, and ERPs.
  •  Foster a culture of excellence that attracts, hires, and retains security talent. 
  •  Create career pathways by identifying and developing high-performing officers for progression and promotion. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Leadership & Platform Management

  • Manage and oversee Supervisors and SOC operations, ensuring 24/7 readiness and high-performance standards. 
  • Act as the Special Event Lead, coordinating security planning, briefings, and execution for all client-requested events. 
  • Administer and manage specific platforms, including Zinc, Airtable, and SIM-T. 

Compliance & Quality Control

  • Review and approve Zinc reports.
  • Conduct annual SOC and Supervisor evaluations and monthly access level audits. 
  • Lead post inspections, security audits, and patrol management (interior/exterior) to identify operational gaps. 
  • Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure all contractual obligations are met or exceeded. 
  • Oversee the Studios Activity Logs for accuracy.
  • Oversee communications for accuracy and timeliness.

Strategic Reporting

  • Contribute critical operational metrics and data-driven insights for Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR). 
  • Assist with implementing action plans to address operational gaps.

Personnel & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of resolution for morale issues, grievances, or complaints from the guard force.
  • Implement corrective actions and performance improvement plans when necessary. 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Leadership & Experience

  • 5+ years of security operations management experience or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in Incident Command and emergency response coordination. 
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale teams and developing subordinate leaders. 
  • Experience in special event security planning for high-profile stakeholders. 

Credentials & Education

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Active BSIS Guard Card. 
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPP or PSP) are a significant plus but not required. 

Technical Expertise

  • Proficient in access control systems and surveillance technologies. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and security data platforms (Airtable, Zinc). 
  • Knowledge of risk analysis and security planning implementation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for executive-level reporting. 
  • Motivates and coach personnel by providing clarity.
