This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Data Operations team is responsible for ensuring data being sourced for critical business functions is available and fit for purpose on a daily basis. This includes the management of core firm market data such as pricing, security data, index data and corporate action data. The team also performs daily tasks such as managing data mastering exceptions, managing requests related to new indices and collaborates with partners across the firm to implement strategic data initiatives that drive accuracy, transparency and scalability.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Operations Senior Associate will be responsible for working within the Data Operations team responsible for the oversight, maintenance, quality, and delivery of critical investment data across the firm. This individual will execute both day-to-day operational responsibilities and support larger strategic initiatives focused on improving data scalability, control, consistency, and efficiency.

This role combines leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and the ability to multi-task between daily tasks and the more holistic firm goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute day-to-day activities within the Data Operations team related to Reference and Market Data, ensuring accurate and timely completion of operational responsibilities.
  • Support the mastering and maintenance of critical investment data, including security master and reference data, across EDM, internal data services, and downstream systems.
  • Support large-scale firmwide data initiatives focused on improving scalability, automation, data quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business, technology, operations, risk, compliance, and investment stakeholders to understand data requirements, resolve issues, and support strategic platform initiatives.
  • Support data onboarding, testing, validation, and implementation activities for new data sources, data elements, system enhancements, and data mastering processes.
  • Support efficient and timely security master workflows, data alignment across internal systems, exception management, and downstream data distribution.
  • Coordinate UAT, regression testing, production validation, and implementation readiness for EDM and related internal data services.
  • Maintain strong controls, procedures, metrics, and escalation processes to support data accuracy, timeliness, and transparency.
  • Balance daily production responsibilities with strategic initiatives, ensuring operational service levels are maintained while supporting broader firm goals.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual intervention, improve data quality, and enhance consistency across platforms.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree required, finance or related preferred
  • Strong background in Market data and Pricing data within the Financial Industry
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in data analysis and data management best practice
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with cloud-based data stores a strong plus
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a changing environment and under tight deadlines
  • Ability to independently manage personal timelines and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to successfully manage and coordinate simultaneous project deliverables across groups and teams

Salary range for the position: $70,000 - 140,000/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
