Position Overview
Reporting to the Aseptic Manager, the Operations Supervisor leads shift-based production teams to drive performance, safety, quality, and efficiency. This role oversees workflow, employee development, and production scheduling while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage production staff performance, coaching, and development (including Individual Development Plans).
- Create and maintain production schedules, staffing plans, and training assignments.
- Oversee production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
- Promote and enforce safety, quality, and GMP standards, lead audits and investigations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members.
- Handle employee relations, including coaching, discipline, and performance management.
- Facilitate shift communications, meetings, and cross-department collaboration.
- Monitor output, resolve FPQ issues, and ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain technical knowledge of equipment and processes within the work unit.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience (food, process, or high-speed packaging preferred)
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with continuous improvement and managing change
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of aseptic processes preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/HMI systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment
- Valid driver's license (travel may be required)
