Title: Operations Technician

Location: Manitowoc, WI

Salary: Starting Wage $20.00 per hour and up based on experience

Schedules available: 1st shift (5:00am - 3:00pm) available working Monday through Thursday with overtime as needed.

We're looking for a detail-driven Operations Technician to work hands on in our trimming and turning equipment, where your mechanical expertise directly ensures the quality of products used by millions every day. OperationsTechnician Essential Job Functions:

  • Operating lathes type equipment and following checklists, procedures, and guidelines to production flow to meet customer specifications.
  • Inspect brass casings for cosmetic and functional defects using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers) for quality monitoring.
  • Utilizing PLEX production software effectively.
  • Performing mechanical adjustments, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Adheres to all safety requirements, including cleaning the work area, lockout/tagout, and wearing required PPE.

Operations Technician Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical, mathematical, reading comprehension, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience operating a forklift preferred.
  • Attributes: intellectual curiosity, passion for machinery, positive attitude, self-discipline, and commitment to Winchester's mission.
  • Must be a detail-oriented individual with high degree of quality and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated safe work practices, ability to work independently and within a team environment, and strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Location-Specific Requirements:

  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
