Operator

Location: Westbrook/Scarborough, METiming: Mon-Fri | 6AM - 2:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Assemble medical devices and related components, including electronic assembly, casting/coating, mechanical assembly, and packaging.
• Utilize microscopes, hand tools, razor blades, syringes, soldering equipment, and adhesives.
• Operate various equipment while following specified and standardized procedures.
• Conduct visual inspections and precision measurements on components and assemblies.
• Perform tests using computerized test equipment to ensure product quality.
• Repair and correct devices/components as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of travelers, shop floor paperwork, and quality documents.
• Ensure all parts are traceable and address quality issues promptly.
• Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices and equipment.
• Dispose of hazardous waste materials according to regulations.
• Participate in quality initiatives to enhance production processes.
• Collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager to set and monitor individual and team performance goals.
• Keep the work area clean and sanitary, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
• Notify supervisors of supply/material needs and any production difficulties.
• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing or assembly role.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures at a 6th-grade level.
• Basic math skills at a 6th-grade level.
• Proficient in using electronic data collection systems and computer software.
• Good dexterity for handling small components.
• Strong decision-making abilities with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to perform detailed assembly work and utilize various tools and equipment.
• Must be comfortable working in a controlled cleanroom environment.
