Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to upholding our core values of teamwork, excellence, compassion, integrity, and commitment. This role involves assisting patients and customers with finding the best eye wear for their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispensing, fitting and adjusting eye wear to patient satisfaction while also promoting proper frame and add-on selections for different clients.
- Performing minor frame repairs.
- Utilizing manual and automatic lensometers.
- Work closely with Optometrists in the follow-up of patients wearing glasses and contact lenses. Accurate and efficient data entry into electronic medical health records is required.
- Optical billing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Applicant Qualifications
- ABO-NCLE certification is desired but not required initially. Non certified opticians are expected to become certified after hire.
- Verbal and written English/Spanish translation is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and tactful during stressful situations.
