Position Overview

This long-term assignment provides comprehensive eye care services within a federal healthcare environment serving an underserved patient population.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive eye examinations for pediatric and adult patients
Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and vision disorders
Prescribe corrective lenses and treatment plans
Educate patients on eye health and preventative care
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with IHS standards
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Requirements

Active, unrestricted Optometry license (any U.S. state)
Board certified or board eligible
Prior IHS, Tribal Health, rural, or federal experience preferred
Ability to commit to a minimum 6-month assignment
Ability to obtain federal credentialing and security clearance
