Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Xstore Developer with a strong background in retail point-of-sale (POS) systems and Java backend development. In this role, you will design, develop, and test major and minor enhancements, perform deep-dive root cause analysis, and troubleshoot critical system issues.
The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in Oracle Retail Xstore, strong core Java fundamentals, and extensive experience integrating APIs in an Agile environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelopment & Enhancements: Design, code, test, and debug major and minor application enhancements within defined timelines, adhering to strict coding standards.
Production & L3 Support: Perform root cause analysis, log analysis, and system troubleshooting against established SLAs for Oracle Retail / Xstore POS environments.
API Integration: Develop and design robust API integrations using SOAP, RESTful services, XML, and JSON.
SDLC & Collaboration: Participate actively in all phases of the SDLC using Agile/Scrum methodologies. Collaborate and communicate effectively with business teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
Total IT Experience: 8+ years of total experience in software development.
Oracle Retail Expertise: 5 to 8+ years of dedicated experience in Oracle Retail POS, Oracle Xstore POS, or GK POS L3 Support.
Backend Development: Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and SQL.
Architecture & Design: Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and system architecture fundamentals.
Web Services: Extensive experience with XML, JSON, REST, and SOAP APIs.
Build & Version Control: Proficient with repository and build tools including GIT, SVN, Maven, Gradle, and GitLab.
CI/CD & Tools: Experience using Jenkins, Eclipse IDE, and issue-tracking tools like Bugzilla.
Strong systems analysis, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with business stakeholders.
Proven ability to adjust priorities quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
