Order Management Specialist

Arvada,Colorado Starting salary: $22 - $26/hourDairy Engineering Company has been providing sanitary processing equipment, replacement parts, service, repair, fabrication, and engineering support to the food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, and other sanitary processing industries since 1981. We are seeking an organized and dependable person to support customer order processing and day to day administrative operations. This person would work with our sales team, customers, vendors, and our shipping and billing departments to ensure orders and related issues are handled accurately and efficiently. The person for this position doesn't need to be a technical equipment expert or salesperson but does need to be comfortable learning our products and processes well enough to recognize routine orders, identify when something doesn't look right, and know when to involve someone else. This person should be comfortable taking ownership of the administrative side of an order and following issues through to completion rather than simply passing them along.RESPONSIBILITIES:- monitor customer purchasing portals and process routine purchase orders- review orders for accuracy and route technical or complex requests to the appropriate salesperson ​​​​​​- provide customers with order and backorder status updates- work with vendors to obtain availability and lead times- help salesforce maintain accurate backorder lists- process customer and vendor returns, shortages, mis-shipments and damaged shipments and work with Billing and Accounting on these scenarios - cover daily emails and orders for any sales rep who is out of the office ​​​​​​- assist with the answering of phones and other routine office responsibilities ​​​​​
