Orientation and Mobility Specialist Dallas, TXContract: 36 Weeks | Compensation: Up to $63/hr (Based on Experience)

Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm specializing in Healthcare and Educational Services, is seeking a passionate and experienced Orientation and Mobility Specialist to join our trusted Educational Services partner near Dallas, TX. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students in developing the critical skills needed for independence and safe travel in school and community settings.

Job Description:

Provide one-on-one and group orientation and mobility instruction to students with visual impairments
Assess students' abilities and develop individualized instructional plans
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student progress and safety
Utilize appropriate tools and adaptive technologies to enhance student learning and navigation
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional plans as needed
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations

Education and Certification Requirements:

Bachelor's or Masters degree in Orientation and Mobility or related field
Certification by the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals (ACVREP)
Texas state licensure or eligibility to obtain appropriate licensure
Experience working in school-based settings preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
