Experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistant - Full Time

Locations: Federal Way & Bellevue, WA

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our established and growing orthodontic team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who is confident in chairside assisting, patient care, and orthodontic procedures, and who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong clinical skills, professionalism, and a patient-first mindset. Occasional travel between our Federal Way, Bellevue, and Issaquah offices is required.

Key Responsibilities

Chairside assisting during orthodontic exams and procedures
Bonding and debonding brackets and attachments
Taking impressions, scans, and intraoral photos
Placing and removing archwires, ligatures, and elastics
Educating patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene
Sterilizing instruments and maintaining OSHA/CDC compliance
Maintaining accurate and timely patient records
Supporting clinic flow and assisting team members as needed

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Dental Assistant certification (required or preferred, per state guidelines)
Minimum 1–2 years of orthodontic assisting experience
Strong knowledge of orthodontic procedures and instruments
Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting
Willingness and ability to travel to the Bellevue office when required
