Job Description

ATC West Healthcare Services seeking a Locum Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to provide inpatient-only coverage across two hospital campuses. This role focuses on managing orthopedic trauma cases and same-day add-ons in a hospital-based, Level III trauma setting with full OR access and strong clinical support.

Dates / Schedule

  • Shifts per month: 7 10

  • Shift length: 24-hour shifts

  • OR access: Daily

  • On-call: Yes, inpatient only

  • Clinic duties: None

Job Details & Responsibilities

  • Inpatient-only orthopedic trauma coverage (no clinic)

  • Coverage at Davenport Campus and Silvis Campus (approximately 13 miles apart)

  • Manage orthopedic trauma cases and same-day add-on procedures

  • Level III Trauma Center handling all orthopedic trauma cases

  • Hospital-based practice with:

    • 8 physicians (total joint, spine, hand, podiatry mix)

    • 8 Advanced Practice Providers (no APP supervision required)

    • Nursing and APP support in the OR

  • Average hospital census:

  • EMR: Cerner

  • Imaging, lab, and pharmacy services available on-site

  • No outreach, telehealth, or teaching responsibilities

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery (required)

  • Fellowship trained in Orthopedics (required)

  • Demonstrated experience in orthopedic trauma (required)

  • Active IA and/or IL medical license , or active IMLC (LOQ required at submission)

  • Willingness to work at both Davenport and Silvis locations

  • Clean malpractice and background history

    • NPDB self-query required (pulled within the past month)
