Job Title: Otolaryngologist – Head and Neck Oncology Specialist
Job Type: Full Time (1.0 FTE)Place of Performance: Oklahoma City VA Health Care System, 921 NE 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104
Qualifications:
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Otolaryngology.
Fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncology.
Current unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
Current BLS and ACLS certification.
Credentialing and privileging approval by VA Medical Executive Board.
Proficiency in English for clinical care and medical documentation.
Duties:
Provide outpatient and surgical services for veterans with head and neck cancers.
Perform complex oncologic surgeries, including thyroid, salivary gland, laryngeal, skull base, and free flap reconstructive procedures.
Manage cases of benign and malignant tumors of the oral cavity, pharynx, and neck.
Perform laryngectomies, tracheostomies, esophageal dilations, and reconstructive procedures.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive cancer care.
Maintain documentation in VA’s electronic health records and ensure compliance with patient privacy regulations.
Uphold standards of care consistent with the Joint Commission and VA policies.
