Job Description:
Empire National is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Driver with a Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) to join our fleet in Greensboro, NC. As a team driver, you and your partner will work together to safely and efficiently transport goods, ensuring timely deliveries and superior service.
Compensation:
- Up to 67cpm for each person in a team
- Performance-based bonuses
- Fuel and maintenance incentives.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles as a team, adhering to all state and federal regulations.
- Transport goods over designated routes, maintaining safety and delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring the vehicle's safe and reliable operation.
- Collaborate with your driving partner to effectively manage driving shifts.
- Maintain accurate records of hours of service, fuel and delivery documentation.
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members professionally.
Requirements:
- Must possess a class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) & a valid medical card.
- Experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, ELD units, tablet, etc).
- Ability to drive long hours at a time.
- The driver should not be prohibited in DOT Clearinghouse.
- Must be at least 23 years old.
- Must have acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) *No DUI in the last 5 years.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete required safety training when needed.
- Preferable 2+ years of experience
- Must be able to have flexibility with departure schedules.
