Outpatient Occupational Therapist (Ot) - Pt/40

Description

The Occupational Therapist will:

• Demonstrate essential skill competencies in the delivery of patient care in an in-patient or out-patient setting, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
• Use effective communications skills to facilitate exchange of ideas for quality patient care with patient/family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside community contacts.
• Be open to feedback and receptive to change as evidenced by feedback.
• Complete all necessary tasks and responsibilities that support daily operation of the department.
• Maintain competency by participating in professional growth and development and internal/external educational activities.
• Act in accordance with the Standards of Conduct and Ethical Practice of AOTA, the Vermont Practice Act, and hospital and department policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (preferred)
• Current Vermont Occupational Therapist license in good standing
• Certified OT by the American Occupational Therapy Board
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Occupational Therapy evaluation and treatment techniques
• Proficient English verbal and written skills
• Working knowledge of medical terminology
• Basic computer knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $36.00 - $43.00 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The rate for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
