The Outreach Specialist will be located in Minnesota and is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with community-based organizations, trade allies, contractors, and other key stakeholders to support the promotion and success of Frontier Energy's programs. This role plays a critical part in driving participation in energy efficiency initiatives through education, engagement, and strategic outreach efforts. The Outreach Specialist will represent Frontier Energy in the field and within the community, helping to establish brand recognition, foster partnerships, and ensure clear and effective communication between all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Representing Frontier Energy and its utility and agency partners professionally and positively at community events, trade meetings, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with community-based organizations, trade allies, contractors (electrical, HVAC), engineers, trade associations, municipalities, and local communities.
  • Attending and supporting outreach events, including workshops, trainings, and informational sessions, to promote program offerings and services.
  • Educating stakeholders on program benefits, eligibility requirements, and incentives to maximize participation.
  • Conducting proactive and direct outreach, including phone, email, in-person, and door-to-door engagement, to expand program awareness and drive participation, meeting or exceeding annual enrollment and application targets.
  • Monitoring outreach performance by tracking participation, engagement metrics, and overall program impact.
  • Presenting outreach updates and participation data to program managers, including insights on effectiveness and stakeholder feedback.
  • Collecting and synthesizing stakeholder feedback to inform and improve outreach strategies and program delivery.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of outreach materials, including presentations, brochures, flyers, and newsletters.
  • Representing Frontier Energy at public forums, trade association meetings, and other events to advocate for energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Performing additional duties and supporting other Frontier Energy programs and projects as assigned.

Required Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in outreach, community engagement, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and events.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High level of initiative, adaptability, and problem-solving capability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM tools.
  • Ability to pass background checks if required by program or client needs.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior knowledge and/or experience in energy efficiency, sustainability, or building energy concepts.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups, including contractors, community organizations, and government entities.
  • Background in public relations, marketing, communications, or community engagement. Bilingual (Spanish/English) verbal fluency; written fluency in English preferred.
