SCOPE/CONTACTS:

The incumbent has frequent contact with customers, and some contact with other departments. Customer contact is primarily by telephone, and by written correspondence. Results of work are spot‑checked and physical effort required is average.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must be able to work without immediate supervision and exercise independent judgment.
• Make contact daily with customers with over drafted or charged off accounts via telephone or correspondence.
• Run daily reports.
• Must be firm, but fair, with customers and provide assistance in handling financial responsibilities.
• Cross training in Loan Collections is a must.
• Actively participate in First Financial Bank's Customer Service First culture, support the values of the organization and follow established Bank policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 12 months clerical experience required.
• Bank operations and DDA/loan account collections experience preferred.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, dependability, self-motivated, and a sense of urgency.
• PC knowledge and Microsoft Office aptitude is a must.
• Experience with Jack Henry or other related banking software preferred.
