Job Description

This position is bonus eligible up to $5000!

The Home for Little Wanderers, Southeast Campus, located in Plymouth is looking for a Full-time Residential Supervisor to make a difference in the lives of youth who have experienced trauma and/or who have significant emotional and behavioral challenges. Join a dynamic team of professionals implementing our trauma informed care model.

Southeast Campus (SEC) is a co-ed residential treatment program which also has a year-round private special education school, the COVE School. The program is located on a 53-acre site in scenic Plymouth Massachusetts. SEC is licensed to serve residential and day students. Southeast Campus emphasizes promoting positive social/emotional skills; helping children meet academic, behavioral, and permanency goals; and providing vocational development, exercise and fun.

How You Will Be Making A Difference

  • Support youth in developing the skills they need to successfully transition home to families.
  • Teach age appropriate life skills, coping skills, and social skills through modeling, counseling, and other techniques.
  • Participate in groups and activities designed to enhance youth growth and development.
  • Participate in both on-site and off-site recreational/educational activities.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for both staff and residents.
  • The Home offers extensive training and support to all new staff and many opportunities for career and professional development.

What to Expect in the Role

  • Must have a valid ID and ability to pass a CORI/background check

  • Ability to be physically active for an 8-10 hour shift

  • Able to participate in verbal de-escalation and physical interventions with youth

  • MAP certified preferred

  • Ability to multi-task in a changing and fast-paced treatment environment

  • Ability to receive and implement feedback in the moment and through a structured supervision process

  • Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required

Qualifications

  • Experience working in human services/mental health/youth development field with supervisory experience required
  • HS diploma or equivalency

Driving Requirements

  • May be required to operate a vehicle
  • May be required to have a valid driver's license and a "satisfactory" driving record
  • May be required to have access to a personal vehicle for use during work hours
  • May be required to use personal vehicle to transport clients on occasion if/when needed
  • If required to transport clients, must maintain the minimum amounts of liability insurance as required by The Home and/or other regulatory requirements and vehicle registration must be current
