Overnight Utility Steward - Embassy Suites South Bend

The talented team at Embassy Suites by Hilton South Bend at Notre Dame is seeking a Overnight Utility Steward with a heart for service to join our Culinary Team! This person will work overnight to ensure our kitchen and back-of-house areas are deeply cleaned, sanitized, and maintained to the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and brand excellence.

This position offers a set overnight schedule 11pm- 7.30am.

What will I be doing?

The Embassy Suites by Hilton South Bend at Notre Dame is seeking a Overnight Utility Steward to support overnight deep cleaning and sanitation efforts within our kitchen and back-of-house areas. This role is essential to maintaining food safety standards, brand expectations, and a clean, safe environment for our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Perform detailed deep cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment, floors, walls, drains, hoods, and back-of-house areas

• Safely operate commercial cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, pressure washers, steam cleaners, and chemical dispensing systems

• Properly handle, store, and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines and training

• Ensure compliance with food safety, health department, and brand sanitation standards

• Report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards to leadership

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment during overnight shifts
