Plaintiff P.I. Litigation Legal Assistant
Downtown Portland | Plaintiffs’ Personal Injury & Maritime Law

Our Client is a boutique plaintiffs’ personal injury and maritime firm seeking a seasoned Litigation Legal Assistant who knows how to run cases, stay ahead of deadlines, and keep attorneys moving. If you’re sharp, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, this is your seat at the table.
What You’ll Own
- Drive cases from intake through resolution. You’d be integral, not just support
- Draft and finalize pleadings, motions, and correspondence with precision
- Handle state and federal e-filing confidently and accurately
- Manage deadlines, calendars, and case flow without missing a beat
- Organize and maintain clean, trial-ready files
- Support discovery (including responses to requests for production)
- Act as a key point of contact with clients, courts, and providers
What You Bring
- 5+ years of litigation legal assistant/paralegal experience
- Deep familiarity with court rules, procedures, and deadlines
- Exceptional writing, proofreading, and communication skills
- Strong experience with MS-Word and Outlook
- Highly organized, detailed, and able to juggle competing priorities
- Must have a take-charge mindset; you don’t wait to be told what to do
