Summary

We are seeking a dependable and energetic Mailroom/ Package Operator to join our production team. This position supports the final stage of newspaper and commercial print production, ensuring accurate collation, timely distribution, and physical preparation of print products for mailing and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate insertion equipment to assemble newspapers with pre-printed inserts and supplemental materials.
  • Set up and run strapping and palletizing equipment, ensuring secure and accurate packaging.
  • Monitor mailroom machinery and troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions as needed.
  • Label, sort, and organize printed products for efficient delivery or postal processing.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area according to OSHA guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with other operators and managers to meet tight deadlines and high-volume production schedules.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a mailroom, packaging, or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Ability to operate or quickly learn mechanical equipment such as inserters, stackers, strappers, and pallet jacks.
  • Physically capable of lifting to 40 lbs and standing or walking for long periods.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability in a team-based setting.
  • Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays depending on production needs

Job Type: Full-time
