Packer 1 (Packaging Specialist)

Key Responsibilities

• As sections are processed down the assembly line assure items are correct and free from damage or defects. Clean and pack to required process by product requirements.

• Move all sections on the conveyor line for final boxing.

• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve order issues.

• Report product quality issues, equipment concerns, or safety hazards to supervision.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in order processing systems.
• Ability to learn to resolve order discrepancies and inventory issues with OTJ experience.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

None required; OSHA safety certification preferred.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years of experience in parts ordering, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
• Experience with Avante and Oracle systems preferred.
• Ability to learn company procedures, products, and quality standards.

Work Environment

Primarily operates in a warehouse setting with exposure to material handling equipment and shipping operations.

• Lift up to 70 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds with assistance when necessary.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, reach, grasp, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions.
• Handle products, packaging materials, and related equipment.
• Work in varying temperatures and a fast-paced production environment.
