Interventional Pain Management Physician - Bangor, ME
Location: Bangor, Maine Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Compensation: $400,000 – $500,000 guaranteed salary for 2 years
The Opportunity
A well-established, heavy interventional pain management practice in Bangor, Maine is seeking a skilled and experienced Pain Management Physician to join their team. This is a rare opportunity offering exceptional earning potential, a comprehensive 2-year guaranteed compensation package, and a clear path to full independent contractor status with 100% of professional fees. Full-time and part-time schedules are both welcome - making this an ideal opportunity for physicians at any stage of their career.

What You'll Do
- Perform a full range of interventional pain management procedures including epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, facet joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, and more
- Implant and manage Spinal Cord Stimulators and Intrathecal Pain Pumps
- Evaluate and treat patients with complex acute and chronic pain conditions
- Collaborate with a dedicated clinical team committed to delivering outstanding patient outcomes
- Some travel to satellite locations within the region required
Compensation Structure
Years 1 & 2 - Guaranteed Package:
- Salary: $400,000 – $500,000 annually - guaranteed for 2 years

- Additional benefits included during guarantee period
After Year 2 - Full Independent Contractor:
- Transition to full 1099 status
- Receive 100% of your professional fees
- Build your own book of business in an already established, high-volume practice
Schedule Options
- Full-Time: Traditional Monday through Friday schedule
- Part-Time: Every other week, up to 4 days - ideal for physicians seeking flexibility
- No nights, no weekends, no call obligations
What We're Looking For
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine
- Training background in Anesthesiology or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
- Extensive hands-on experience with interventional pain procedures
- Proficiency in Spinal Cord Stimulator and Intrathecal Pump implantation
- Active Maine medical license or ability to obtain prior to start
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent patient communication skills
