Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) with experience or a strong interest in Pain Management to join our growing practice. Employment Type: Full-Time Monday–Friday (No call ) Practice Location: Middletown Shift: 8/10/12 About the Practice Middletown Medical is a multidisciplinary pain management practice dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care for acute and chronic pain conditions. Our team includes pain physicians, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, and behavioral health professionals working collaboratively to improve patient outcomes and quality of life. Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive pain assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and functional evaluation. Develop and implement individualized pain management treatment plans. Manage chronic pain conditions using pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies. Prescribe medications in compliance with state and federal regulations, including controlled substances. Monitor patient outcomes, medication efficacy, and adverse effects. Provide patient education regarding pain conditions, treatment options, and expectations. Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Comply with regulatory, ethical, and practice standards, including opioid stewardship guidelines. Qualifications Required: Current Nurse Practitioner license (ANCC or AANP certified). Active state NP/PA license and DEA registration (or eligibility). Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities. Preferred: Prior experience in pain management, orthopedics, PM&R, neurology, anesthesia, or primary care. Familiarity with chronic opioid management and interventional pain workflows. Experience with EMR systems. Certification or training in pain management (highly desirable). Work Environment: Outpatient clinical setting. Collaborative, team-based care model.
