Get a Smooth Finish on Your CareerIf you take pride in detail-oriented work and enjoy hands-on tasks, this Paint Shop Technician role offers a steady schedule, solid pay and the chance to build valuable industrial skills.Job Title: Paint Shop TechnicianLocation: Central City, NE Pay: $20.00+/hr (based on experience)Shift: 1st ShiftSchedule: Monday Friday 7: 00 AM 5: 00 PM + rotating Saturdays 7: 00 AM 12: 00 PMPosition OverviewIn this role, you ll be responsible for applying paint and coatings to parts and surfaces using air spray equipment. You ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality finishes, proper coverage and adherence to safety and production standards.What You ll Do
- Operate air spray guns to apply paint, primer and coatings
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking and degreasing
- Mix paints and coatings according to specifications
- Adjust spray equipment for proper pressure, flow and coverage
- Inspect finished products for quality, consistency and defects
- Clean and maintain spray guns, hoses and related equipment
- Follow work orders, blueprints and job specifications
- Use proper PPE including respirators, gloves and goggles
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Handle and dispose of materials according to safety guidelines
- Previous experience with industrial painting or spray guns preferred (but not required)
- Basic understanding of surface prep and paint mixing
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and instructions
- Reliable and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working around fumes, noise and protective equipment
- Industrial paint shop setting with proper ventilation and safety measures
