Job Description
Connect Staffing is searching for an experienced Construction Litigation Paralegal in Houston, TX, to support attorneys through all phases of complex litigation, from pre-claim investigation through trial and appeal. This role requires a strong command of court procedures, sharp organizational skills, and the ability to keep cases moving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support federal and state court litigation, including AAA arbitration matters and e-filing.
Manage calendaring, deadlines, hearings, and court appearances.
Draft routine pleadings and filings (e.g., motions, subpoenas, notices).
Organize and maintain electronic and hard copy case files, deposition materials, and trial binders.
Assist with document production, including redaction and Bates labeling.
Conduct legal research and cite-check briefs.
Coordinate depositions and prepare witness files.
Support eDiscovery efforts, including ESI protocols, database management, document review, and production workflows.
Maintain deposition and exhibit databases; assist with trial preparation and briefing materials.
Manage cases from inception through resolution with strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certification preferred.
5+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
Thorough knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules.
Advanced organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work overtime as needed.
Professional communication skills and a high level of discretion.
