Join a Collaborative Legal Team – Probate Paralegal Opportunity in Columbus, OH!
Aspen Careers is partnering with a respected, mid-sized Columbus-based law firm to add a Probate Paralegal to its growing Estate Planning practice. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly collaborative team supporting a busy and expanding probate administration practice.
Job Title: Probate ParalegalLocation: Worthington (Columbus area) – primarily in-office with flexibility in scheduling

What You’ll Do:
- Manage and support 50–60 probate administration cases
- Prepare and file probate documents, inventories, and accountings
- Complete Medicaid applications from start to finish
- Prepare 709 gift tax returns, 1041 fiduciary income tax returns, and occasional federal estate tax returns
- Maintain case files, deadlines, and documentation
- Communicate with clients, courts, and government agencies
- Collaborate across the estate planning team to support broader practice needs
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in probate administration
- Hands-on experience with Medicaid applications
- Experience or knowledge of tax return preparation (709, 1041, estate tax)
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage a high-volume caseload
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Team-oriented with flexibility to assist beyond core responsibilities
- Estate planning experience is a plus
