Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join a busy and collaborative litigation team supporting complex legal matters. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who has experience managing litigation cases from inception through resolution and enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with litigation matters from case intake through trial or settlement
- Conduct client intake interviews and communicate effectively
- Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
- File legal documents with courts and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines
- Manage and maintain organized case files, including pleadings, depositions, exhibits, and trial materials
- Coordinate and assist with discovery, including document review and production
- Support trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, trial binders, and evidence presentations
- Review and summarize medical records and other supporting documentation
- Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, opposing counsel, and external vendors
- Utilize legal technology and document management systems to support casework
- Track deadlines, statutes of limitations, and maintain accurate case records
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate preferred
- Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience, preferably in litigation
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and litigation processes
- Experience supporting discovery and document management processes
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and case management systems
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys
- Strong professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
