Job Description
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal for a prestigious firm in Houston, TX.
Shift: M-F 1st shift
Salary: $75 - $90k
Benefits: Medical (employer paid), dental, vision, 401k
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct thorough legal research and gather relevant case information.
- Manage case files, ensuring all documents are organized and up-to-date.
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, and other parties involved in cases.
- Prepare and summarize reports, medical records, and other evidence for case review.
- Assist in the discovery process, including document production and interrogatories.
- Maintain case management software and ensure compliance with deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on personal injury law.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
