Job Details

• Assist attorneys in all stages of commercial real estate transactions, including the preparation and negotiation of purchase agreements, leases, and closing documents.
• Conduct thorough title and survey reviews, prepare title objections and clearances, and coordinate with title companies to resolve any issues.
• Perform due diligence tasks, including the review of zoning reports, property inspections, and environmental studies.
• Prepare and file legal documents, such as deeds, mortgages, leases, and easements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases and lease amendments.
• Coordinate and assist with commercial closings, including the preparation of closing checklists, the coordination of closing logistics, and the preparation and review of closing documents.
• Prepare and organize post-closing binders and manage post-closing follow-up.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on various commercial real estate issues.
• Maintain organized, up-to-date files and databases for all transactions.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in commercial real estate is required.
• A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent is preferred.
• Proficient in commercial leasing, title surveys, preparing closing documents, zoning reports, surveys, acquisition loans, leases, commercial closings, and post-closing.
• Familiarity with real estate software and tools, such as ProLaw, ACRIS, and Westlaw.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks.
• Strong research skills and proficiency in legal research tools.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
