Job Description

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., a multi-office national firm, is currently seeking a highly skilled Paralegal with 4+ years of experience to join our Dallas office. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Job SummaryThis position is ideal for a paralegal with a strong background in civil defense litigation. The successful candidate will assist attorneys with managing complex cases from inception through resolution, ensuring deadlines are met and files are meticulously maintained. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys in all phases of litigation, including case development, discovery, and trial preparation
  • Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, motions, and summaries
  • Organize and analyze documentation, including accident reports, medical records, insurance materials, and expert reports
  • Manage case calendars, track court deadlines, and maintain attorney schedules
  • Conduct legal and factual research related to liability and damages
  • Communicate directly with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel
  • Prepare exhibits, witness files, and other materials for depositions, mediations, and trial
  • Assist with court filings, including Texas State and Federal E-Filing procedures
  • Maintain organized case files in both electronic and physical formats
  • Assist with billing and time entry as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of paralegal experience in civil litigation
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedure, court rules, and case management in Texas
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines under pressure
  • High level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Paralegal Certificate or degree in Legal Studies preferred

Working ConditionsThis position is based in an office environment and may require occasional lifting of case files and supplies up to 20 lbs. It is a predominantly sedentary role involving extended computer and desk use.
