Job Description
Litigation Paralegal
Strong and Hanni is seeking a knowledgeable, talented, and driven Paralegal to provide direct assistance to attorneys in one of our insurance defense practice groups. Experience in personal injury or prior insurance defense work is preferred. This position will assist the attorneys in all stages of litigation and trial work, including the preparation of documents necessary for litigation. This is a full-time, in-office position located in our Salt Lake City, Utah office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing, collecting, summation and organizing the information, data and evidence for use by attorneys in hearings or trials.
- Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and interrogatories.
- Assist lawyers by researching legal precedent, investigating facts, and preparing legal documents.
- Conduct research to support a legal proceeding, to formulate a defense, cause of action and to initiate legal proceedings.
- Preparation and organization of case research, notes, medical records, legal documents, and client materials.
- Gather and analyze research data, such as statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes, and documents.
- Verify documents for accuracy. Editing and proofreading legal documents; researching, medical records, public and private records.
- Preparing, collecting, summation and organizing the information, data, and evidence for use by attorneys in hearings or trials; researching public and private records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must have experience in drafting complaints, motions, answers, and other pleadings, knowledge of the local rules of court, perform legal research, correspondence etc.
- Needs to be well organized and have a professional presentation.
- Excellent computer and organization abilities.
