We are currently seeking a highly motivated Paralegal specializing in Probate and Estate Planning for our Myrtle Beach office.
Experience in the following areas is preferred:
- Trust and estate planning
- Probate and trust administration
- Business transactions
- Document management and analysis
- Preparation of fiduciary accountings
- Client interaction
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the preparation of estate planning documents
- Preparing documents for probate and trust administration
- Preparing probate and trust accountings
- Preparing documents for business transactions
- Document analysis and management
- Communicating with clients
- Communicating and filing documents with various courts, but primarily probate courts
Candidates should have the following skills and/or attributes:
- Three to five years complex Trust and Estate experience is preferred
- Bachelor of Arts degree or Paralegal Certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and employees of all levels of the firm.
- Experience in electronic document discovery and database management
- Team Member who participates in shared office duties and requirements
- Professional demeanor, computer skills, and the ability to manage a large caseload in a fast-paced environment
