Job Description
Regular Full Time Status: Exempt / Salary Reports to: Legal Services Program Director

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)
Legal Services & Case Management
- Manage a caseload of legal services matters directly under the supervision of a licensed attorney.
- Provide direct representation and advocacy to individuals submitting applications to local courts, the 9th Circuit, USCIS, the U.S. Department of State, and other government agencies.
- Prepare U visas, T visas, VAWA self-petitions, battered spouse waivers, asylum applications, adjustment of status applications, consular processing applications, and other immigration-related filings.
- Prepare protection orders, divorce petitions, guardianship documents, custody agreements, contracts, and other legal documents related to family and contract law.
- Interview clients in Spanish or coordinate interpretation for other languages; complete client intake forms, draft declarations, compile filings, gather supporting documentation, and finalize applications.
- Compile and file OBIM, USCIS, and CBP FOIA requests.
- Perform factual and legal research, monitor developments in immigration, family, and contract law and procedure.
- Draft, proofread, and edit legal correspondence, client documents, and other written communications.
- Prepare and organize exhibits, attachments, and supporting documentation for filing.
- Manage deadlines, calendars, and case-related appointments to ensure timely filing and compliance.
- Respond promptly to client calls and emails to facilitate effective communication.
- Close matters in accordance with department policies and procedures.
File & Records Management
- Open new client files and prepare hard-copy and electronic files, including retainers, releases, and Form G-28.

- Maintain case files in accordance with CC Idaho and Legal Services Department policies and program requirements.
- Maintain law library resources, record-keeping, and data-collection systems; coordinate subscriptions as needed.
- Perform administrative tasks related to grant reporting and other program compliance requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records at all times.
Collaboration & Community Engagement
- Facilitate and participate in legal team meetings, staff meetings, and coalition meetings as needed.
- Meet with clients, attorneys, and other professionals to discuss case details and legal strategy.
- Conduct presentations, workshops, legal clinics, and individual consultations in both Spanish and English.
- Provide Spanish interpretation or coordinate secure interpretation services when needed.
- Work with community partners across Idaho to conduct outreach, community education, and development efforts.
- Work closely with other program staff members and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Write blogs, media, outreach, and other posts as required.
- Help plan and organize annual community events, including the Annual Gala.
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the team and assist with front desk coverage as needed.
- Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices.
- Ensure compliance with CC Idaho, local, state, federal, and other applicable regulations and standards.
