Our diverse teams bring unique perspectives to help deliver cutting-edge solutions to global clients across both public and private sectors.Titles: Paralegal and Legal AssistantsDuration: 2 yearsLocation: Albany, NY 12257Shift Timings:M-F 9:00AM – 5:00PMPay: USD 25/hr – USD 30/hrPosition summary:The Paralegal will review and process External Appeal applications and insurance-related complaints in compliance with New York State Insurance Law Article 49 and the Federal No Surprises Act. The role involves screening cases, requesting and analyzing documentation, maintaining electronic case files, communicating with consumers and regulated entities, and supporting investigations. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive cases are required.Key Responsibilities:
- Screen requests for External Appeals in accordance with the Federal No Surprise Act.
- Screen requests for External Appeal in accordance with Insurance Law, Regulation, and the established protocols.
- Act as liaison using written and verbal communication for administrative processes with consumers and representatives of financial entities.
- Keep electronic case files updated, complete and organized.
- Research, process, and resolve consumer and provider complaints.
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
- Electronic case management systems
