Job Description
The School District of South Milwaukee is seeking outstanding individuals to work with our students with special needs on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, a self-starter, love to motivate and work with students, understand and respect individual differences, and desire to be part of a team. Candidates will be required to obtain a special education paraprofessional aide license through DPI.These positions are part-time. In your letter, please indicate which position you are most interested in:
- Elementary special education (6.25 hours a day, 5 days a week).
- Elementary special education (4.0 hours a day, 5 days a week).
The position involves working as a paraprofessional with students for the majority of the day.Candidates should be organized, friendly, with excellent communication skills, ability to take direction, ability to keep student information confidential, and ability to assist students with behavioral, physical and academic needs as required for individual students.Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
