• Proof of completion of 40-hour behavioral training course OR must have 6 months of ABA experience* * * *
• Meets Kansas paraprofessional qualification requirements by possessing 48 college credit hours, an associate's degree (or higher), or passing a state-approved paraprofessional assessment (e.g., ParaPro or WorkKeys)* * *

Role Overview: As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will work alongside certified Special Education Teachers to assist in supporting students with diverse learning needs by implementing inclusive and personalized educational plans that help them thrive both academically and emotionally. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.Job Details:   * * *

• Paras could be working 1:1 or 2:1 support and/or providing classroom support* * * *
• Some students may be medically fragile - please highlight experience on resume if candidate has* * * *
• Ensure candidates know that support could include assisting with mobility, feeding, toileting/diapering* * * *
• Candidate must be open to changing caseloads as the need may change throughout the school year* * *

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with classroom instruction and offering one-on-one or small group support to students with disabilities.* * * *
• Helping to adapt educational materials and activities to meet the unique learning needs of students.* * * *
• Observing and managing student behavior to ensure a positive learning environment.* * * *
• Keeping records of student progress and behavior, as well as assisting with classroom management.* * * *
• Working with students who have various disabilities, including learning disabilities, autism, and emotional disturbances.  * * *
