Job Summary:

The Parts Technician at Monster Transmission is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the parts counter, ensuring the efficient storage, inventory management, and distribution of transmission parts and components. This role is critical in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that transmission builders receive the necessary parts promptly to support production flow.

In addition to managing parts fulfillment, the Parts Technician will perform regular cycle counts, assist with inventory control, and help investigate discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transmission systems and components, excellent organizational skills, and previous familiarity with transmission and high-performance parts.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of transmission parts and components
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records using internal systems
  • Conduct regular physical and cycle inventory counts; investigate and reconcile discrepancies
  • Coordinate and prioritize the distribution of parts to transmission builders based on job orders and production schedules
  • Monitor parts usage and ensure timely replenishment to avoid delays or work stoppages
  • Handle special parts requests and expedite orders as needed to meet urgent demands
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts counter and storage areas
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to implementing best practices within the department
  • Assist with inventory adjustments and collaborate with other departments to resolve inventory issues
  • Support the production and shipping teams with accurate parts pulling and order fulfillment
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a transmission remanufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of transmission parts and components is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
